What Depensia keeps about you, why, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated 27 October 2026

This text was written for a demonstration and should be reviewed by a legal professional before Depensia is offered to the public.

Who is responsible for your data

Lemoine Agency, the publisher of Depensia, is the data controller for the personal data the app holds. You can reach it at contact@example.com; its other details are in the legal notice.

What we collect

  • Your email address and your password, to create your account and let you log in. Both are managed by Supabase, the authentication provider.
  • The expenses you log: the amount, the category, the note if you write one, and the date.

Nothing else. Depensia does not connect to your bank, shows no advertising, and uses no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

Why we collect it

Only to provide the service you signed up for: to show you your own expenses and the figures worked out from them, on the web and on iPhone. The legal basis is the contract you accept when you create your account (GDPR, article 6(1)(b)).

How long we keep it

An expense is kept until you delete it. Your account, with its email, its password and every remaining expense, is kept until you delete the account; it is then deleted at once and for good.

Who can see it

Each account sees only its own expenses. Your data is not sold, shared or used for advertising. Its one recipient besides you is Supabase, which provides the authentication and the database as our processor and handles your data only to run them.

Cookies

Depensia uses two kinds of cookie, both strictly necessary for the app to work, so no consent banner is shown:

  • the session cookies that keep you logged in;
  • a depensia_month cookie that remembers the month you are looking at until you close your browser.

No advertising, analytics or tracking cookie is used.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have it corrected (rectification);
  • have it deleted (erasure);
  • receive it in a reusable format (portability);
  • have its processing restricted;
  • object to its processing.

Everything Depensia holds is visible in the app, where you can edit or delete any expense, and you can delete your account yourself, as described below. For any other request, including a copy of your data, write to contact@example.com. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.

How to delete your account

On the web, log in, open Account, choose Delete my account and confirm. In the iPhone app, open Account, choose Delete account and confirm. Your account and every expense are deleted immediately; there is no undo.
